The #96 is doing all he can to get back atop his CBR1000RR-R SP. Check out his vlog outlining his full journey from the injury until now

Jake Dixon (Honda HRC) had recently arrived in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship paddock from before a fateful touch of bad luck on the second day of testing at the Official Test in Australia. He was on pace for his fastest lap of the test so far when he was sent sprawling off of his bike and was sent to the medical centre immediately. He was diagnosed with fractures to his left hand and left wrist, as well as the left wrist itself being dislocated and underwent surgery days later in Australia. Dixon’s vlog lays out the timeline from then until now: the dramatic ups and the downs of the normally-upbeat rider clearly raring to get on track to start this new chapter of his career as a WorldSBK rider. On Thursday, April 2nd, Dixon had the wires removed, and now his physical therapy can begin in earnest, however according to his doctor, he said they would have to play it by ear while hoping to return at Balaton Park from May 1st to May 3rd.

With a wide smile, Dixon said: “We’ve been to see the surgeon, and he said everything looked pretty good from the CT scan. Everyone will be going home to the UK now, but I will have to stay here for another week.” Later in the video, he expanded on his emotions regarding the injury: “I’m not getting any younger, and now at the most critical point in my career, I have this massive f****** setback. No one knows the facts; no one knows the hours that now have to come before I can get back on the bike. I have to get this one right; if I don’t get this one right, this can finish your career.”

In the meantime, tune in this weekend for action at Assen as the other riders fight for the win at the ‘Cathedral of Speed’ with the WorldSBK VideoPass!
